We got hit!

We got hit with the sick bug. Elijah got sick with some kind of stomach thing late Thursday into the wee hours on Friday. So Friday we stay home again. Maya has nasty running nose with a bad cough. Alex woke up Saturday with a head cold and that afternoon I was sick with what ever Elijah had. On Sunday I gave it to Jeremiah. (do you want to come over and play with us?)
So that ended Alex's spring break. At lease we had fun at the beginning.
I just wished that Jackie didn't take back HER camera. We could of had some great pictures to show you. I hope to have a new camera soon.

Rain on my parade

Toady I wanted to go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. But it was cold and rainy.
The back up plan worked just fine. We went to the movies to watch "Horten Hears a Who." Alisa and Grandma Atkinson went to lunch and a movie with us. Then played a little Wii.
At the end of our day I asked Alex if I could read to him and he told me "I want to play with Dad" So Alex finished his night with his Dad playing Operation.

Windy Wensday

Today we went to the park to fly kites, that the boys got for Easter. Carissa, Kylie, Alex and I had more fun than Elijah and Cason. Cason and Elijah just did their own thing.
The kids helped make dinner and then we watched The Bee Movie.
(I really miss my camera. The blog is just boring without it!)

Day two the Zoo

We had a good time at the zoo today. Cyndi and Jackie came with their kids. There were 8 kids and 3 adults. We fed some birds and saw about half the zoo. The Moms got tired and we went to McDonald's play land and had some lunch. After that we went back to the house for some WAXING!
After the redness went away we listened to the kids sing High School Musical. They did a great job.
Tomorrow we are staying home (with a few errands to run). These kids know how to ware you out:0)

Spring Break!!!!

Today we started our fun filled spring break with a trip to The Nature and Science Museum. Alex had a blast looking at the new exhibition Gold. We saw a lot of different shapes and sizes of gold. Then we watched a movie about how gold was made. Alex just loved looking and showing me the words he could read. He loves his rocks and minerals!!!
Elijah and Maya loved the dinosaurs. Elijah took his time looking at every dinosaur that was there. Maya had to run up to everything she could. She wore me out before she was tired. It was a great day. Tomorrow we are heading to the ZOO.
(sorry no pictures.) The house was broken in to a couple weeks ago and they took my camera. Ok and some other thing but I'm more mad about the camera. We are fine. We weren't home when it happened,we were eating with Alex at school!

Alex finally lost his front tooth

Alisa came over after work. She brought some supplies to pull that stubborn tooth. This is the same one Jeremiah tried to pull out on Sunday. After rubbing some numbing gel on his gums, he was more then ready to sit there until it was out!
20 minutes later Alisa pulled that tooth out. Alex was great he never once cried.

Fun in the Sun!!

They got muddy and dirty. But it was great getting outside with the warm weather.

Maya had fun playing with the little snow that is left. She licked her first brick and didn't like that much.

Cason and Alex had fun playing frisbee.

How I lost 3 inches

I gave up the good old Pepsi. Can I just say that I miss it, but I'm feeling great. I have not had any pop for two week. I lost 3 inches around my waist. I do carve as much sugar either. Working out has been easier too. If I can give up something that is unhealthy so can you. I challenge very one to give up something that is just not good for them. Dr. Ozz from the Opera show says, it take about 15 day to stop having the cravings. Good luck I hope you all try it!!
Let me know how you are doing!!

Dinner and a Movie Anyone?

Tonight the family had a fun time eating Dino Nuggets with apples for dinner and watching Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium . It is a great movie about believing in yourself. The kids really seemed to enjoy it. Then the boys got to sleep in their new beds with anti dust mite sheets.

The List Keeps Growing

On Monday Alex had his turn with the allergy doctor. He had headaches every day, so his doctor sent him to the allergist. Alex never had hives or a rash . I never thought he could have allergies. Alex is having a very hard time with his new diet. He is allergic to: cow's milk, tomatoes, soy, chocolate, cats, dogs and dust mites.
If you have lost track of everyones food allergies here it goes:(keep in mind there will be a test!)
Jeremiah: watermelon, artificial cinnamon and cilantro
Margie: peanuts and corn
Alex: cow's milk, tomatoes, soy, chocolate, cats, dogs and dust mites
Elijah: soy, tomatoes, eggs, citrus, sea food, cotton trees, cats and dogs
Maya: cow's milk, wheat, oats, eggs, citrus, sea food, cats and dogs
That comes out to be 15 different allergies in a family of 5!
I was thinking that maybe this is a good thing. I have to be a better housekeeper to keep the dust mites down for Alex. We are eating a lot healthier and cooking is getting a lot easier.
Life is full of challenges and we have been blessed with 15 different challenges.
